Rudolf Buchbinder shows Beethoven's Vienna! At the age of 22, the young genius "Ludwig van" came from Bonn to Vienna, where he was to spend the rest of his life. As a restless artist, his moves from apartment to apartment are legendary. With the pianist Rudolf Buchbinder, one of the best Beethoven connoisseurs in the world, Barbara Rett goes on the composer's trail in Vienna.

The first part of the documentary shows his apartments and places of activity in the inner districts of Vienna. The Pasqualati house on the Mölkerbastei, the apartment on Laimgrubengasse, the restaurants in the first district where he was a guest, and the Theater an der Wien, where, among other things, the premiere of his only opera "Fidelio" took place. If you walk through the city with an open eye, you can still trace the life of the unique composer everywhere - also along the many memorial plaques and monuments!
