Two genius, both non-conformists, in one birthday concert. Wolfgang Schmidtke brings together the revolutionist of jazz Charlie Parker and the enfant terrible of classical music Ludwig van Beethoven. In 2020 not only Ludwig van Beethoven had his 250th birthday but also Charlie „Bird“ Parker would have become 100 years old. In his project Wolfgang Schmidtke together with his octett confronts their contrasting work.
