Carlos Kleiber's (1930-2004) rare concert recordings are always musical occasions to cherish and remember. The vitality and precision of his authoritative gestures never failed to generate excitement and inspire playing of great élan from orchestras throughout the world. In this concert, recorded live in the Herkulessaal of the Munich Residenz on 21 October 1996, the Bavarian State Orchestra, conducted by Carlos Kleiber, plays Ludwig van Beethoven's Overture "Coriolan" op. 62, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Symphony No. 33 in B flat major K. 319 and Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 4 in E minor op. 98.
