"Hollywood in Vienna" is the world's first and unique redcarped film music gala concert, celebrating the most renowned film composers of our time. The annual gala combines an orchestral concert of highest musical level with guests from the dream factory and a Hollywood-like staging in the historical setting of the Vienna Concert Hall. Although film music is a typically American form of art, its roots can be traced back to Vienna. The Viennese Max Steiner belongs to the most influential pioneers in the history of Hollywood movies and scored all-time classics like "King Kong", "Gone with the Wind" and "Casablanca". With "Hollywood in Vienna" the art of symphonic film music returns back to its roots.
