Carlus Padrissa is staging T.H.A.M.O.S., a quasi "lost" Mozart opera and a forerunner of the "Magic Flute" for Mozartwoche 2019. We met the director shortly before the dress rehearsal at the Felsenreitschule. He told us about the history of the creation of T.H.A.M.O.S., why the Felsenreitschule is the ideal venue for it and which philosophical considerations flow into the history of the opera. What physicist Nikolas Tesla, playwright Antonin Artaud, the origins of the three soloists (Fatma Said from Egypt, Nutthaporn Thammathi from Thailand and René Pape from Europe) have to do with all this, you can find out in the interview.
The Mozartwoche takes place from 24.1. to 3.2. 2019 in Salzburg. On fidelio we celebrate Mozart in all his facets and cover the festival for you. Experience the 5 minute interview series "A da in the life of" with Barbara Rett and numerous concerts, interviews and panel discussions.
