Solidarity with the people of Ukraine has moved five major orchestras of Austria on the initiative of the Musikverein Vienna to a very special benefit concert in the Golden Musikverein Hall! As an amalgamation into one orchestra under the direction of Patrick Hahn, they play together with greats such as violin virtuoso Gidon Kremer, pianist Kirill Gerstein, tenor Michael Schade and soprano Christiane Karg an evening under the sign of peace. With the support of the Vienna Singverein, works by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Beethoven, Silvestrov and Chopin, among others, will be heard, making the most diverse emotions of people in times of war palpable. All artists perform free of charge - the entire proceeds of the evening go to the aid organization "Neighbor in Need".
