Artur Rubinstein plays the Impromptu in A flat major, D. 899 No. 4 by Franz Schubert (1797-1828). Recorded in August 1973 in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Artur Rubinstein (1887-1982) was one of the greatest pianists of the 20th century. His interpretations are considered to this day as exemplary, and often unsurpassed. Rubinstein dominated the concert halls of the world for three quarters of a century.
