A splendid start to the open-air season with great pathos and delicate murmurs: every year, the Summer Night Gala in Grafenegg strikes the most beautiful notes of the opera and concert repertoire. As the sun gradually disappears behind the castle, the colorful orchestral sound rises from the stage of the Cloud Tower, ensnaring the best soloists from all over the world. In 2022, two important voices have announced themselves: the German soprano Marlis Petersen is making an international name for herself with her great creative power, while the Uruguayan-Spanish baritone Erwin Schrott enchants his audience with his rich timbre. The two world stars are joined by Selina Ott as a trumpet virtuoso of the younger generation, who is on the verge of conquering the great concert halls.
