It should sound again: for the upcoming 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven, the city of Baden wanted to make the historic fortepiano from the Beethovenhaus Baden playable again. After a successful fundraising campaign and thanks to support from the Federal Monuments Office and the Province of Lower Austria, it was possible to undertake the necessary restoration. The excitement was enormous when the instrument was collected from the Beethoven House in January to be brought to the restorer Gert Hecher in Vienna.
