Since 1957, the Mörbisch Lake Festival has been inspiring audiences with operettas and musicals on a unique stage directly in Lake Neusiedl. This year the Hungarian Countess Viktoria moves to the lake with the operetta "Viktoria und ihr Husar" by Paul Abraham.

Countess Viktoria loses sight of her lover, a Hungarian hussar knight, in the turmoil of the First World War. She marries the American ambassador and follows him to Tokyo. There the lost lover returns from Siberian captivity ... .
