On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Claude Debussy’s death, Daniel Barenboim assembles renowned musicians at the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin to perform a selection of chamber music works and songs by the great French composer. The festive programme includes solos, duets and trios as well as “Syrinx”, performed by flutist Emmanuel Pahud, who together with Yulia Deyneka and Aline Khouri also interprets the Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp. For the songs, mezzosoprano Marianne Crebassa is accompanied by Daniel Barenboim at the piano. “To celebrate a jubilee in a more dignified way is impossible!” (Online Merker).
