Belcea Quartet: Corina Belcea (1st violin), Axel Schacher (2nd violin), Krzysztof Chorzelski (viola), Antoine Lederlin (cello). Formed in 1994 under the leadership of Romanian violinist Corina Belcea together with three other students of the London Royal College of Music, the Belcea Quartet ranks among the leading quartets of our time. The four musicians have an impressive discography, and in concert they get vigorous applause. The Quartet is dedicated to the great classical repertoire as well as to contemporary compositions. The Belcea Quartet received prestigious music awards, including the Echo Klassik and the Gramophone Award.

The Belcea Quartet first performed at the Pierre Boulez Saal as part of the opening season’s Quartet Festival in April 2017. Now the four musicians return as the ensemble in residence for the 2017–18 season to present a cycle of three concerts featuring works from the Classical and Romantic eras to music of our time.
