This concert marks the return to MuTh of the Romanian pianist Catalina Butcaru, who considers her playing as a form of poetry. The “Neuer Merker” particularly praised the breadth of her expressive ability, describing it as ranging from “sublime refinement to a powerful, determined allure”.
Her skill as a sensitive accompanist has been demonstrated on the MuTh stage before, having performed with Volkhard Steude here last year. Now they are reprising their previous success.
