"Christmas in Vienna"" takes place again at the Vienna Konzerthaus two days before Christmas. This year there will be a reunion with an unforgettable opera diva: Grace Bumbry. At her side are Juan Diego Florez, who just had success at the "Concert for Europe", the Volksoper star Annely Peebo and Adrian Eröd, darling of the Viennese audience at the Wiener Staatsoper. The Vienna Boys Choir will also be present at this traditional concert. This year's programme includes parts from Johann Sebastian Bach's "Christmas Oratorio", Georg Friedrich Handel's "Messiah" and Ceasar Franck's "Festive Mass". Other musical highlights include traditional Austrian Christmas songs and pieces from England, France, Estonia and Peru. Of course, the "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht"" (Silent Night, Holy Night) cannot be missing from the finale. The stars will be accompanied by the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Karel Mark Chichon.
