The traditional Christmas concert finally returns to the Vienna Konzerthaus after a two-year break due to the pandemic. The glittering event in the festively decorated Great Hall once again aims to musically accompany its audience with Christmas traditions from around the world. This year's concert will feature the Vienna Boys' Choir and the Vienna Singing Academy, as well as the children's and youth choir Superar, who will set the mood for Christmas with classical and popular Christmas music from around the world. Castle actress Maria Happel contributes a literary touch in her inimitable way. The ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna plays for the first time under the direction of conductor Claire Levacher. For years, "Christmas in Vienna" has been one of the most sought-after events in the Viennese Advent concert circuit. The musical program ranges from classical repertoire to traditional carols from all over the world to popular Christmas songs. In these challenging times, it is not only about the enjoyment of music, but above all about a feeling of peaceful togetherness.
