The third stop of the summer festival trip takes the "Ö1 Klassik-Treffpunkt" and its team around Albert Hosp to Burgenland, to the Lockenhaus chamber music festival. Under the title "Authentikos" this year's festival will take place from 4 to 13 July. Intendant and cellist Nicolas Altstaedt will once again gather an illustrious crowd of fellow musicians to play casually with friends for friends at the highest level. Therefore he will be supported at the "Klassik-Treffpunkt" by the violinist Vilde Frang and the pianist Alexander Lonquich, both at the talks with Albert Hosp and at the musical live performance as piano trio.
Most of the concert programmes in Lockenhaus are created from the moment by artists who are currently present, or due to the magic of the respective concert venue, be it the Knight's Castle, the Parish Church or Esterházy Castle in Lockenhaus. For most concerts, therefore, you buy a "carte blanche" and let yourself be surprised by the selection of programmes.
Chamber music will be offered in a wide variety of instrumentations, from baroque to jazz, supplemented by lectures and discussion panels, which this year will focus on the authenticity of musical texts, their interpretation in the course of time, possible falsifications, etc., especially due to the title "Authentikos".
